Abstract
    The concept of “globalization” has been implanted into everyone’s mind. In the time when communication is becoming more and more accessible, to master a method of communication gets extremely cut-throating. In this moment, “English”, as the only international language, must be the first word, which will occur in one’s mind.   So, in order not to be eliminated from selection of the real society, everyoneshould learn it well. Then, it’s time for teachers to assume this noble responsibility. Here I introduce the concept of “using mother tongue in English teaching and learning”. This paper explains some advantages of taking this kind of method and analyzes how to implement it. In real practice, teachers should innovate the conventional method and to make the process become student-entered. They should also achieve combination and filtration of teaching contents and try to create a favorable mother tongue environment for students both in and off campus. All the explanations and analysis are full of concrete examples, such as the examples about how to combine what the students have learned and what they are learning so as to make them recall the old words more easier and remember the new ones meanwhile. In the end, I lists some important aspects should be pay attention to when teachers using the Mother Tongue in English Teaching and Learning.

    With the rapid development of the global economy in recent years, more and more fields of a country such as, economy, education and politics have been in contact with other countries. As a result, English has been the most frequently used language in the word because of the procession of the history and it has been the international language in the world. English is used on a quarter of the earth as a main language. Nowadays there are a large number of people who have had to learn a second language (for example, English), not just as a pleasing pastime, but often as a means of obtaining an education or securing employment. If you learn English well, you can find more learning chances for yourself and enter a large, full of knowledge world what you can’t imagine before. But only a small part of English learners can master English effectively. Most of them are still unable to use English correctly in speech and writing. What shall those who take the profession of language teaching do for the learners?  At such a time, there is an obvious need to discover something about how second languages are learned.
