ABSTRACT
     As we all know, different countries have different cultures. ' Culture is the collective programming of the mind which distinguishes the members of one category of people from another.' Generally speaking, etiquette is a rule, a kind of language and a tool of the communication. With the globalization of the whole world, western culture floods into China. As we all know cultures in China and western countries are almost totally different, hence, the traditional culture in China must be impacted by the western culture gradually. Moreover, everything is relative, cultural difference having no exception. Culture, as the total pattern of human behavior and its products, oversteps geographical limits and historical conditions in many ways. Therefore, the culture differences are everywhere. They affect people’s ways of thinking and their views of the world.
     As we know, the cultures between East and West are distinguished by a rather large scale. This doesn't not only mean the opinions or ways of thinking are different. Actually, how do people behave in daily life is also not the same, sometimes even the opposite. This essay will show some of the typical examples.
     The essay is divided in five parts. The first part is the introduction. It shows the main idea of the essay. The second part is talking bout the culture differences. From this part, we will know more about the reasons which lead to the culture difference between East and West. The third part is the most important of the research. It explains that most of the different behavior in daily life in details. The last two parts are talking about the attitudes towards culture difference and the conclusion of whole article.

1.Introduction
     To the definition of etiquette, China and Western have a different understanding. As Chinese thinks that the etiquette is the common behavior standards that all the members must obey, and its purpose is to keep the normal living order of the society.   ‘Today, etiquette becomes the reflection and manifestation of one country’s politics, economy, and culture in people’s social contact. And it includes the principal and moral that people should obey in daily life. Etiquette formed in the process of the deposition of culture and social contact.’ So every nation has their own etiquette standard which created with the spirit of this their nation. In many aspects of our life, we often divide the world into two parts: the eastern one and the western one. The former usually refers to Asia and the latter includes mainly Europe, North Africa and America. We divide like this not only because of the geographical location differences, but also due to the cultural differences to a large extent. In the following parts, you’ll see such differences, from the causes to the customs of the two sides nowadays.
